Sylvan Hills High rising senior, Emily Grimm, gifted Sherwood Police Chief Jeff Hagar with a special art piece this week. Officer Jamal Hockaday, the SRO at SHHS, had this art piece commissioned by Emily for the chief to honor his service over the past (almost) two years.

Congratulations to our very own Ms. Sharon Stuthard for receiving a special award at the recent Poore Educator Legacy Award Ceremony. Ms. Stuthard was recognized for her hard work in career tech and the Academies of Central Arkansas. Today is Flag Day which marks the adoption of the U.S. flag in 1777. The resolution, passed by the 2nd Continental Congress resolved that the flag include 13 stripes, alternating red & white & 13 white stars in a blue field. Stars have been added as states join the union.
